Three Brits are into the quarter-finals of the men's doubles draw in New York.

Top seeds Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara breezed through their clash against 16th seeds Francisco Cabral and JJ Tracy - winning 6-4, 6-4 in just over an hour.

Next up, they'll face seventh seeds Manuel Guinard and Guido Andreozzi for a place in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Neal Skupski and Christian Harrison's came through a tight second set to eventually book their ticket to the quarter-finals, with a 6-3, 7-6(1) victory against  Jakob Schnaitter and Mark Wallner.

The British, American duo are bidding to win their second Grand Slam of the season following their Australian Open win back in January.

Three-time former champions Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram are also into the final eight after coming through a three set battle against the American team of Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin 7-6(6), 4-6, 6-4.

They'll have to overcome the second seeded duo of Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos to reach the semi-finals.

However, it was the end of the road for ninth seeds and former Wimbledon champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool who were beaten by sixth seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz 7-6(1), 7-6(5).

Wheelchair

Tuesday's action also saw the start of the doubles wheelchair draws. Five-time US Open champions and 2025 finalists Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid made a winning start to their campaign - beating Stephane Houdet and Zhenxu Ji 6-3, 6-1.

Finally, Andy Lapthorne and Leon Els got their partnership off to a dream start in New York, beating David Wagner and Alexander Bogdanovic 7-6(5), 6-1 in their first US Open match together.

Greg Slade and Heath Davidson lost out in the quad doubles to top seeds Niels Vink and Guy Sasson, 6-0, 6-0.

Neal Skupski became the fifth British player to reach the third round of the US Open men's doubles after knocking out fellow countryman Jan Choinski.

Fifth seeds and Australian Open champions Skupski and Christian Harrison defeated Choinski and Alexander Donski 7-6(1), 6-3 on Grandstand court.

The British-American team came back from 5-3 down in the first set - winning 11 of the last 12 points - and saved three break points in the second.

They will now face Jakob Schnaitter and Mark Wallner of Germany, who defeated 11th seeds Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul.

All five British stars will be in third round action on Tuesday.

Four British stars have booked their place in the third round of this year's US Open men's doubles.

Top seeds and world No.1s Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara are into the third round of the US Open following a confident victory over singles stars Matteo Arnaldi and Jan-Lennard Struff.

The three-time Grand Slam champions needed just an hour and 16 minutes to move past the Italian, German duo 7-5, 6-2 on the Louis Armstrong Arena.

They are bidding to win the US Open men's doubles title for the first time.

Three-time US Open champions Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram came back from a set and a break down, and saved two match points to defeat 10th seeds Theo Arribage and Albano Olivetti 6-7(2), 7-6(9), 6-4.

They will play American team Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin in the third round.

Former Wimbledon champions and ninth seeds Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool beat Adam Pavlasek and Patrik Riki 7-6(2), 6-4 - saving all seven break points faced.

Meanwhile, it was the end of the road for all-British pair Harriet Dart and Maia Lumsden who lost their second round match against sixth seeds Cristina Bucsa and Nicole Melichar-Martinez 6-2, 6-2.

Fifth seeds and Australian Open champions Neal Skupski and Christian Harrison started the day with a comfortable 6-0, 7-6(3) win over French duo Arthur Reymond and Luca Sanchez.

Skupski and Harrison move on to face fellow Brit Jan Choinski and his partner Alexander Donski in the second round.

2025 Wimbledon champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool began their campaign to win a second major title with a confident 6-3, 6-4 victory over Luciano Darderi and Mariano Kestelboim.

They'll face all-Czech duo Patrik Riki and Adam Pavlasek in the second round.

All-British team Arthur Fery and Joshua Paris later joined them after coming through a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 victory against alternates Anirudh Chandrasekar and Ivan Liutarevich.

Their first Grand Slam victory together has set up a clash with second seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos.

Luke Johnson and Jan Zielinski were denied what would have been the upset of the opening round in a three-set thriller against third seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic.

Johnson and Zielinski were dominant in the second set, but the Wimbledon finalists raised their quality in the final stages to see out a 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(10-1) victory.

David Stevenson and Marcus Willis had match point in the second set against 11th seeds Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul but eventually lost 5-7, 7-6(2), 6-3.

Britain's doubles stars Harriet Dart, Maia Lumsden, Henry Patten, and Jan Choinski all picked up first round wins at the US Open.

All-British duo and reigning Lexus Nottingham Open champions Dart and Lumsden clinched a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Petra Marcinko and Oleksandra Olinykova to continue their impressive form.

Meanwhile, world No.1s and Wimbledon champions Patten and Harri Heliovaara stormed to a 6-4, 6-2 win over Argentinian duo Francisco Cerundolo and Juan Martin Cerundolo.

Patten and Heliovaara are pursuing their fourth Grand Slam title together at this year's US Open. A fourth men's doubles major would draw Patten level with Joe Salisbury as Britain's most successful player in the Open Era.

Salisbury and American Rajeev Ram also made a winning start in New York, beating Santiago Gonzalez and John Patrick Smith 7-6(3), 7-6(6).

The three-time champions saved four set points across both sets to book their place in the second round.

Choinski claimed his first US Open doubles win, teaming up with Alexander Donski to beat all-American duo Mackenzie McDonald and Martin Damm Jr 7-6(5), 6-4.

Choinski and Donski only lost six points on their first serve and saved four of five break points in an impressive first round win.

They could face Australian Open champions Neal Skupski and Christian Harrison in the next round if the fifth seeds win on Saturday.

However, 12th seeds Olivia Nicholls and Slovakia's Tereza Mihalikova suffered an upset defeat against Miyu Kato and Fang-Hsien Wu 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Day five: Dart & Jones lose to seeded stars

British qualifier Harriet Dart lost in second round of the US Open to 25^th seed and former Wimbledon quarter-finalist Marie Bouzkova.

The 28-year-old Czech put in a solid performance from start to finish, defeating Dart 6-2, 6-2 in an hour and 18 minutes.

Meanwhile, Francesca Jones also bowed out in the second round after a tricky match against one of the home favourites and 14^th seed Iva Jovic.

The rising 18-year-old came through in just under two hours after beating Jones 6-4, 6-4 on Stadium 17. 

Dart won her previous meeting with Bouzkova in Eastbourne back in 2024, but the Czech barely put a foot wrong in their second clash.

Bouzkova took the initial break after just 10 minutes as Dart fired a forehand wide – the first of four breaks across the match.

The 25^th seed raced out to 4-0 lead in the second set, before serving her way to a third round clash with former champion Iga Swiatek.

Overall, it’s been a positive fortnight for Dart, who battled through qualifying to reach this year’s main draw. Her first Grand Slam victory of the season against Peyton Stearns has seen her rise to world No.110 in the WTA live rankings.

It was a career-first meeting between Jovic and Jones and despite the Brit being ranked 90 places below her opponent, she made her work for the victory.

Jones trailed a double break in both sets but showed her resilience to reduce the deficit to just one and stay within touching distance of the American.

The British No.3 fought off three match points at 5-3 to make Jovic serve out the match, where she secured the win with a backhand winner down the line.

Like Dart, Jones will also leave New York with plenty to be proud of after coming through qualifying to reach the main draw and recording her first Grand Slam main draw witn at Flushing Meadows against Magda Linette.

There are now no Brits left in the singles draws at the US Open.

It was a memorable day for Britain's Francesca Jones who secured her first main draw win at Flushing Meadows with a three-set win over Magda Linette.

Meanwhile, Katie Boulter's campaign came to an end at the hands of Wimbledon runner-up and seventh seed Karolina Muchova, while Toby Samuel and Jacob Fearnley lost out to seeded stars in the second round and Jan Choinski fell short in his first round match.

Jones ousted Linette in a gruelling three set battle spanning two days due to rain delays, winning 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 to reach the second round in New York for the first time in her career. 

Boulter faced a stern challenge in the form of world No.7 Muchova, with the British No.1 losing 6-1, 6-0 in the second round.

The pair traded breaks early on in the first set before Muchova soon settled and went on to produce a devastating performance - converting all seven of her break point opportunities on the Brit's serve to wrap up victory in under an hour.

British rising star Samuel looked to build on his first round victory over Tomas Machac but couldn't get past 18^th seed Jiri Lehecka, who sealed a 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 win.

Despite exiting in the second round, Samuel will take plenty of positives from his second round run at Flushing Meadows, having recorded his maiden Grand Slam main draw win and cracking the world's top 100 for the first time.

Fearnley was looking to spark his second comeback in as many days but couldn't stave off a determined Tomas Martin Etcheverry - falling short 6-3, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in three hours and 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, British No.3 Choinski lost out in the opening round to Botic van de Zandschulp 6-3, 6-1, 7-6(5) in just over two hours on Court 5.

Arthur Fery bowed out in the first round of the US Open in a tough draw against two-time Grand Slam semi-finalist, Olympic bronze medallist and 13^th seed Lorenzo Musetti.

British No.1 Fery lost to the former world No.5 6-3, 6-3, 7-5 in two hours and 10 minutes on Flushing Meadows’ Grandstand court.

Fery saved match point at 5-4 down in the third, having led by a break earlier in the set, but Musetti managed to get himself over the line just three games later.

The British star has been in excellent form coming into the US Open, reaching the semi-final at Wimbledon and making a first ATP final in Winston-Salem, and will now focus on Great Britain’s Davis Cup tie with Ecuador.

Heavy rain interrupted the rest of play on the third day of this year’s US Open, including British stars Francesca Jones and Jan Choinski.

Jones had just taken the first set against Poland’s Magda Linette 6-4 before time was called on their match, while Choinski is yet to start his first round clash with Botic van de Zandschulp.

Harriet Dart and Jacob Fearnley are set to join Katie Boulter and Toby Samuel in the second round at this year's US Open.

Dart battled from a set and a break down to defeat the 24-year-old American 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in two hours and 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, lucky loser Fearnley knocked out Spain's Martin Landaluce 4-6, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

British No.5 Dart is into the second round of the US Open for the third time in her career after recording her first Grand Slam main draw singles win of the season.

Her upset win over world No.55 Stearns sets up a second round clash with 25^th seed Marie Bouzkova.

The world No.131 has now won four matches so far in New York, having come through qualifying last week.

Fearnley had trailed Landaluce 5-2 in the fourth set, and the rising Spanish star had two chances to serve for the match before the Brit staged an improbable comeback.

The Briton closed out the set with five straight games and took a 5-1 lead in the fifth before serving out the match at the second time of asking.

He moves on to play 27th seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the next round.

British qualifier Harry Wendelken put up an excellent showing in a four-set defeat to 21st seed Luciano Darderi on his US Open debut.

The 24-year-old from Cambridge hit 23 winners in a clinical second set to draw level with the Italian before Darderi went on to claim a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 victory.

The final Grand Slam of the season has arrived and we're gearing up for a fortnight of world class tennis at the US Open.

Qualifier Toby Samuel enjoyed a milestone moment after beating former top 20 star Tomas Machac 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 to record his first Grand Slam win.

The Brit converted six of his 10 break points against the Czech star and fired home 24 winners on his way to securing victory in an hour and 32 minutes.

He'll face a tough challenge in the form of 18th seed Jiri Lehecka in the second round.

British No.1 Katie Bouler sealed her first win in New York since 2024 after battling past America's Carol Lee, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0.

After Lee clawed her way back into the match in the second set, Boulter turned up the intensity in the decider - rattling off six games in a row before crushing a cross-court forehand to close out the win.

Lucky loser Jacob Fearnley began his first round match against Spain's Martin Landaluce before a rain delay caused play to be suspended. He will return to court on Monday.

Cam Norrie missed out on the chance to join Samuel in the second round after falling short against France's Luca Van Assche, 6-7(6), 6-2, 6-2, 6-3.

Matches will get underway from 16:00 BST and will be available to watch on Sky Sports Tennis and NOW.

Four Brits have qualified for the main draw at the US Open for the first time after Toby Samuel, Harriet Dart, Francesca Jones and Harry Wendelken all won their final qualifying matches. 

Samuel was the first to secure his place in the main draw at Flushing Meadows, after his opponent Cristian Garin retired during the third set.

The Brit was 4-6, 6-4, 5-0 up against the Chilean before a rain delay halted play, where Garin decided to retire.

Dart came out on top in an all-British battle against Heather Watson - recovering from a set down to win 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. It will mark her first appearance in the main draw at the US Open since 2024.

Wendelken fought through three gruelling tie-break sets to beat Vilius Gaubas 6-7(3), 7-6(5), 7-6(5) to successfully qualify for the main draw at a Grand Slam for the first time. Like Samuel, he will also be making his debut at Flushing Meadows.

Jones continued her impressive form by defeating Joanna Garland 6-4, 6-1 in over an hour. It's the second year in a row that she has successfully come through qualifying in New York.

Jacob Fearnley came within touching distance of joining the British quartet, but couldn't get over the line against Jurij Rodionov, losing 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. However, Fearnley was later awarded a spot in the main draw as a lucky loser. 

After coming through the qualifying rounds of the mixed doubles, there was a statement win for Britain's No.1.

Doubles world No.1s Henry Patten and Katerina Siniakova upset top seeds Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic in the first round of the mixed doubles 1-4, 4-2, 10-2.

However, the duo missed out on a place in the final day of the competition, losing to Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils  5-4(6), 4-5(3), 10-8.

After fighting through two tight qualifying matches yesterday, Lloyd Glasspool and Erin Routliffe lost in a blockbuster first round against Serena Williams and Carlos Alcaraz 5-3, 4-1.
