Day seven: Krueger wins women's title

Our 2026 Lexus Ilkley Open champions have been crowned, with Yunchaokete Bu beating Brit Jacob Fearnley to win back-to-back titles on grass and Ashlyn Krueger claiming the women's crown.

Men's

Home favourite Fearnley missed out on the chance of capturing his second title on grass after being beaten by Chinese star Bu 6-3, 7-6(1).

Bu backed up his sensational run in Birmingham by becoming just the fourth player since 2000 to win titles in back-to-back weeks on grass.

The world No.131 secured the only break in the opening set before turning up the heat in the second set tie-break.

Fearnley etched a point on the boarding in his opening service game before Bu rattled off seven consecutive points to seal his second trophy in as many weeks on British soil.

Women's

Eigth seed Krueger was crowned the women's singles champion in Ilkley after beating Celine Naef 7-5, 6-2 to secure victory in an hour and 31 minutes.

It marks a second career grass court title for the world No.113, after she won the WTA 125 crown at the Veneto Open in 2023.

Naef fought back from 4-1 down to level in the opener, but Krueger reasserterd her control to break for a third time and take the opening set.

The American opened up a double break lead half way through the second set and didn't look back - going on to close out the victory on her third match point.
