Wimbledon 2026: The sporting stars and celebrities spotted at The Championships

The world's biggest sporting stars and celebrities have flocked to the All England Club to catch a glimpse of some world class tennis for the pinnacle of the grass court season.

Wimbledon has long been one of the biggest sporting events on the calendar and celebrities and sporting icons travelling from across the globe to soak up the unmissable tennis action.

From footballing legends to some of the greatest tennis players of all time and Grammy-award-winning artists, let’s take a look at some of the famous faces who have visited Wimbledon so far this year.

Famous faces from the entertainment world

Six-time Grammy award winner Bad Bunny (Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) took a break from his world tour to watch Novak Djokovic in first round action against Wu Yibing on Centre Court. Meanwhile, former One Direction star Niall Horan was also in attendance on the first day of this year's tournament.

We've also seen plenty of other faces from the entertainment industry already, including English food writer, chef, baker and television presenter Dame Mary Berry, actor and presenter Richard E. Grant, TV Presenter Tess Daly, and singer Ellie Goulding.

A royal visit

Day four at Wimbledon saw a very special visit from Kate Middleton who was accompanied by the likes of Andy Murray, Tim Henman and Anne Keothavong during her visit.

The Princess of Wales soaked up the opportunity to cheer on the British talent - heading over to Court 18 to watch Arthur Fery in second round action against Otto Virtanen before watching Katie Swan take on former Grand Slam champion Madison Keys on Court 1.

Sporting icons

They say game recognises game and we've already seen a few of the world's best sporting stars getting involved with the tennis at this year's Wimbledon.

David Beckham swapped the World Cup action State-side for the tennis court as he arrived in South West London for his annual trip to The Championships with his mum Sandra.

Formula One title-leader Kimi Antonelli made his way from Silverstone to the Royal box on Monday 6 July to watch fellow countrywoman Jasmine Paolini contest her fourth round match against Alex Eala.

Golfer Rory McIlroy enjoyed an outing with his wife on the first Tuesday of this year's tournament, alongside Chelsea football star and Lionness legend Lucy Bronze, cricketer Stuart Broad - joined by partner Mollie King - and former sprinter and eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt.

Lionness stars Michelle AgyemangElla Toone, Alessia Russo and Alex Greenwood were all in attendance throughout the fortnight, alongside former British cyclist and six-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy and ex-England football manager Gareth Southgate.

Winter Olympics skeleton champions Matt Weston and Tabitha Stoecker were also in attendance, along with golfer and 2026 US PGA Champion Aaron Rai.

Tennis legends

They might have hung their rackets up but that doesn't stop some of our sport's most legendary players returning to the court.

Former world No.1 and two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray was accompanied by the Princess of Wales in the first week, while former American tennis player Patrick McEnroe enjoyed an afternoon in the Royal Box.

39-time Grand Slam champion Billie Jean King was in the Royal Box the fourth round matches on the second Monday, alongside eight-time Wimbledon winner and 20-time major titleholder Roger Federer.

Brothers and 16-time Grand Slam winning duo Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan featured in the Royal Box on middle Saturday, as well as nine-time Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova.
