ALFA Tennis is looking for an enthusiastic Level 1 or Level 2 tennis coach to join our growing community programme at Streatham Vale Park.

This role is ideal for a developing coach who wants more than occasional coaching or cover work. We are looking for someone who wants to become part of the ALFA team, gain experience within an established programme and gradually progress towards becoming an independent coach within ALFA Tennis.

The role will initially involve working alongside our Head Coach and assisting with the delivery of our existing adult and junior programmes. This will give you the opportunity to get to know our players and families, understand how the programme operates and develop your confidence and experience on court.

Initial opportunities will primarily involve assisting with our junior programme, with further opportunities available across adult coaching, holiday camps, community initiatives, Free Parks Tennis, local schools and additional ALFA programmes as the business grows.

For a Level 1 coach, the role will initially focus on assisting alongside the Head Coach, with support and encouragement to progress towards the Level 2 Instructor qualification.

A Level 2 coach will have the opportunity to gradually take greater responsibility for group delivery as they become familiar with the programme, our coaching standards and our clientele.

The long-term aim is to develop the successful candidate towards becoming a more independent member of the ALFA coaching team during 2027. This includes leading regular sessions, providing coaching cover and taking responsibility for their own coaching hours within the ALFA programme, subject to qualification, accreditation, performance and programme demand.

As ALFA continues to develop, there may also be opportunities to work across additional venues and programmes.

ALFA Tennis (Accessible Leisure For All) is a community tennis programme based at Streatham Vale Park in South West London.

Our aim is to make racket sports accessible, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

We provide adult and junior coaching across different ages and abilities, with a strong focus on coaching quality, confidence, progression and community.

Streatham Vale Park is a two-court, non-floodlit park tennis venue and the home of the ALFA Tennis programme.

The programme is led by Founder and Head Coach Kyle Rossi, an LTA Accredited+ Level 3 Coach.

• LTA Coach Accreditation, or willingness to meet the accreditation requirements for the role

Previous extensive coaching experience is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, reliability and personality who wants to develop as a coach and become part of the ALFA team.
