Frequently asked questions
No publication date has been confirmed for the 2027 entry lists yet. For reference, the 2026 wheelchair entries were announced on 18 June 2026, around 10 days before the tournament began.
British entries for 2027, including any wild cards, will be confirmed once the entry lists are released. In 2026, Alfie Hewett reached the men’s singles final and won the men’s doubles title with Gordon Reid, having won the singles title in 2023 and 2025.
The entry list shows the players accepted into the main draw, based on their ranking at the entry deadline. Wild cards, and qualifiers in the junior events, are added later.
The draw, made shortly before the tournament begins, then sets out who plays whom. Once released, the draws will be available in our Lexus British Open Roehampton Match Centre.
Seeds are the highest-ranked players in each singles draw, based on their World Tennis wheelchair or junior world ranking. They are placed so that the top players can’t meet in the early rounds – the top two seeds, for example, are placed in opposite halves and can only meet in the final.
The 2027 seeds will be confirmed when the draws are made.
